This will be my first attempt at writing a work of magical realism in dramatic literature. After Bedsore, this is another script in which I challenge the form of drama, human nature, and the language that constructs it. I hope to complete it by the time I’m 26.

Bare Life: Refers to life at the biological level, stripped of all forms of social existence.
The flood is imminent, and humanity is reduced to its bare life. A-Lai, a young man from a family that has been in the funeral business for generations, wishes to drown his sinful family in the flood…
In January 2025, in Ottawa, Canada, the first reading of Draft 1 of the bilingual (Chinese-English) script will take place.
